5K Run/Walk/Ride for Hope

5k International OUAA Run-Walk & Ride for Hope

Greetings Fellow Athletes (and those still aspiring to be):

It’s time to train for the Oakwood University Alumni Association 5K Run/Walk International Challenge 2019. The 5K Run/Walk registration begins at 7:15am on Sunday, April 21st  in front of the Oakwood University Bookstore. The race starts at 8:00am sharp.

If you were a participant in last year’s event, we thank you again. If you were one of those who won, we congratulate you again. If you were one who came close to winning, well this is your year to have that second chance. If you were one who just came out to hang out, show your support for those involved and show your love to Oakwood, we look forward to seeing you again.

This year’s 5K Run/Walk promises to be even bigger than last year. We are anticipating more participants and countries represented in the event, along with more prizes.

The purpose of the 5K Run/Walk is to increase awareness of living a healthy lifestyle, promote community and student involvement, and raise funds for Oakwood University students. This is all accomplished in a family… fun…friendly environment on the campus of Oakwood University.

So come out, bring a friend, copy, paste, and post the flyer in your churches, schools and other places to encourage people to come out and participate in this year’s Oakwood University Alumni Association 5K Run/Walk.

We have added a Ride for Hope 10 mile and 35 mile excursion for those who are avid cyclists. The Ride for Hope is for the special purpose to bring hope for a better and healthier lifestyle, community involvement, and scholarships. Please come join us for this fit family friendly event. Start time 7:30am (Same location of the 5k in front of the bookstore)”
